Jastre Silva
Age and Race: 26, Daughter of Sunfell
Family and Friends: Jastre is fairly close to her two brothers, sister, mother, and father, although her inborn independent streak leads to interfamily conflict at times. Her likeable nature means she finds it easy to get along with people who respect her. Jastre’s best friend is Trahvani Loire, and she is good friends with the others in their little circle.
Brief personality rundown and personal history: Jastre is an energetic individual who is kind and possessed of a sunny disposition while managing to avoid being insufferably peppy or bubbly. She prides herself on being the product of two separate cultures, having grown up in Sunfell but going on to do extensive studying and travelling in Underhaven. Because of this acclimation to different cultures and her likable personality Jastre finds making friends with all kinds of people from different races to be an instinctive practice.
Her most readily available trait is her high power of observation, and on that note she is beginning to wonder if her long-time friends Tyran and Ra’tat might be interested in her for more than platonic reasons. She also has a habit of making mildly insulting statements by simple accident.
Jastre also finds it easier than most to take ill fortune in stride, which goes hand in hand with her nature as a born optimist. She is somewhat the opposite of Kallav in that she is very flirty in a romantic sense but not particularly interested in sex. Despite her non-threatening appearance, she is actually quite physically strong. She is not given to violence for violence's sake, but Jastre is far from a pacifist by any standards and will eagerly wade into a fight if necessary.
A specialist in Light and to a lesser extent Dark magic, as a student of Prismatic magic she also knows spells from numerous other schools if the spell has anything to do with hue or colour. She casts her spells using the manipulation of light and/or shadow. Dark, Light, Life, Fire, and Positive are her chosen spheres.
Overall Appearance: Jastre has the typical slightly tanned skin of a Daughter of Sunfell, the only standout in that regard being her dyed green hair and sharp red contacts. Green is actually her favourite colour, and is worked into many aspects of her physical appearance. There is also a fair bit of miscellaneous jewelry on her person.
She has a very attractive, well-developed figure, particularly in the chest area. Jastre actually finds this annoying more often than not because it tends to draw the wrong sort of attention, and she isn't the type to use seduction to get what she wants from men. She has truthfully come to lament the reality that most men tend to view her as a sexual object in some way or another, although given her hopeful nature she has not lost faith that she might find a man who can love her for less vestigial reasons.
Height and Build: 5’ 8.5”, plump/curvy build.
Tattoos and Piercings: Jastre has a rather realistic tattoo of a dragon and a Kraken on her upper back. She also bears a tattoo on her lower back of a stylized bird with spread wings, laid over a moon with representations of Therma’s binary suns above and below said moon in the form of twinkling stars.
Primary Outfit: Among the articles of dress which make up Jastre’s favourite outfit is a jade green top with nine emeralds sewn around a small triangular cutout over her chest. She also wears a medium-length violet skirt and gold stockings accompanied by green velvet shoes with gold trim. A fresh lotus is often kept in her hair. Her belt is a thick leather affair done up with an elaborate gold clasp with seven vials of Cil’kyrn’s Tears strapped to it via cloth carrying loops, the same harnesses also bearing her hand crossbow, Shimmerstone, and melee armament. There is a leather bracer on her left forearm, and her cloak is green with leather elements.
Her non-magical jewelry takes the form of a gold-amethyst thumb ring and several other minor baubles.
Armour: Dancer’s Boon. This series of interlocking steel plates of various shapes forms complex patterns running over almost Jastre’s entire outfit, threaded together by strands of the same steel. Its enchantment makes it malleable enough that it does not impede movement at all, and is thin enough that it barely weighs anything. When physical harm threatens her the plates move along the strands to a point where they can best absorb the blow.
Weaponry: One longsword, one warknife, and a Gemfused hand crossbow
Gemfused hand crossbow: “Gemfused” equipment is a type of weapon, armour, or worn item that has soulgem inlay and soulgems infused into the metal parts of its construction during forging, with the effect of passively increasing the power of the wearer’s magic.
Items: backpack with survival gear, Shimmerstone, Jubilant Pendant, Earrings of Perfect Balance, Staff of Energy Release, seven vials of Cil'kyrn's Tears, 10 Lightpulse bolts, 20 masterfully forged bolts
Shimmerstone: This item has the appearance of a sizeable chunk of quartz. It is naturally luminescent, but has the useful property that it will stop shining when a significant threat to a creature holding it is present. This property is far from foolproof, but still serves as a good way of gauging the peril of a given situation.
Jubilant Pendant: This is a silver and ruby pendant with a stylized smiling face on it. It renders the wearer immune to mind control effects which would prove self-destructive, or injurious to a friend of the wearer.
Earrings of Perfect balance: These aptly named teardrop-shaped crystal earrings make the wearer resistant to Positive and Necrotic damage.
Staff of Energy Release: A commonly used Mage’s Staff among Prismatic Mages due to its amplifying effect on Prismatic magic, it can also absorb natural light and release it as scourging bolts of destructive energy.
Cil’kyrn’s Tears: This potent magic liquid, contained in individual vials, can reverse the flow of time of an object or creature it is poured over.
Lightpulse: This ammunition variety generates a flare of searing Positive energy on impact.
Spells: Shackle Soul, Positive Overload Spray, Iridescent Surge, Light of Sun and Moon, Greater Mage’s Blessing, Brilliance Arc, Bolt of Purity, Rainbow Burst, Vitality Flash, Wash Away, Colour-Split Copies, Starblast, Emerald Flare, Ocean of Sparks, Life Osmosis, Kaleidoscopic Comet, Animate Luminescence, Focused Ignition Beam, Crimson Rain, Polychromatic Eruption, Shadow-Energy Touch, Prismatic Torch, Disintegrating Splash
Likes: Sunrises/sunsets, fistfights, artwork with a good understanding of technical aspects, cats and horses, politics, Sunfell, Underhaven, Trahvani, droll insults, history, jewelry (especially gemstones), romance, mixed drinks, tea, attending plays and public debates, meteor showers
Dislikes: Sexists/perverts, amateur artwork with no understanding of colour theory or perspective, pretentiousness, poor-quality alcoholic beverages with a lot of impurities, entitlement, radical socio-political or antireligious fanatics, losing a battle of wits, missing something obvious

Circle of the Elements: Training of the Mind
At lunch, Josh ate alone. Auranna was nowhere to be seen, and Eric appeared not to have come back yet. Wondering about what Eric was doing, Josh continued to ponder on what missions Auranna and Eric spoke about before. If Auranna was training them for combat, they must be pretty dangerous. Josh still questioned his competence to do whatever Auranna may ask him to do, but something about Auranna assured him to trust her. After lunch, Josh made his way to the library, ascending the spiral stairs to the second floor. The library was empty, with Auranna not being there either. Josh sat down at one of the tables and decided to wait. After 10 minutes with Auranna not showing up, Josh got up to look around the library. Auranna had a very diverse collection, with subjects on art, mathematics, science, and history. He browsed the shelves until he found a book with a sun on the spine to the side of a corner bookshelf. He reached to take it out but found it was stuck. He pulled harder, thinking

Purity.
I have a mask, a guise, a camoflauged contour of my soul.
I put it on at sunrise and for most of my wakefullness, so it remains.
Only when I have the luxury of my own company do I reveal my true self and only to myself.
It awaits a trigger, a feeling, a certain serenity as nothing else brings me out except me.
It is a necissary sense of selfishness.
Humans are naturaly selfish creatures.
Deny me my right to myself and you rid yourself of my bliss.

Forgotten Are the Ancients
Where are the Ancients!
Fields of blue
Sparkle thrice,
This Ancient scroll
Pays the highest price
For humanity!
Hundreds and thousands
Die by man's sword,
But No Man is an island
And hatred be roared
Such insanity!
More Ancient beings
Locked away in jars
No eyes shall see
Where they put the stars
Now bring forth.... Christianity!
