Falx’bet of the Elements
Pantheon: The Seven
Titles: The Primordial Sleeper, Watcher of Toil, Therma’s Fangs
Material Form: The material form of falx'bet is a leviathan serpent with rough-cut spherical stone “eyes”, fangs of solid fire, a body of diamond-hard ice, scales of metal, a tongue of forked lightning. His signature acidic Godkiller venom courses through his veins, and likewise trickles down from the tips of his fangs. It is worth noting his material form is the largest in scale, with no definitive end to his coiling body's length. The only time his body has a fixed size is in those rare instances he manifests on a mortal plane of existence.
Spells: Apex Predator, Rending Vortex, Godkiller Venom Lance, Glacial Breath, Wall of Rock, Razored Avalanche, Impaling Spire, Insatiable Inferno, The Primitive Virus, Firestream, Erratic Metal Growth, Raining Acid, Electrify Metal, Lightning Pillar, Chaos Seeds, Summon Serpentine Legions, Summon Realityslip Hydra, Oceans of Venom
Brief Description: Although he is thought to be the weakest of the Seven, Falx’bet is also the most widely venerated one outside of Underhaven. This is due to his missionaries having had some notable successes in converting primitive cultures to his worship. He presides over hunters both human and animal as well as weather patterns. He is called upon in war alongside O’as’plura to inflict weather and temperature-based calamities, as well as ill “natural” conditions on their opponents.
In terms of his nature as a deity, Falx'bet is pragmatic in the extreme. Unlike the rest of the Seven he cares little for dogma and instead has a desire for "getting things done" simply and efficiently. His rites are simple and meant to be taken at face value. Because of these and other reasons he is very much a layman's deity, as opposed to an enigmatic darling of theologians and philosophers.
Falx'bet and O’as’plura are in fact very close. This is fitting (or deeply ironic, depending on how one views it) considering O’as’plura is the god of Pestilence and Falx’bet has had bad experiences coping with disease. To be specific, Falx’bet was originally the sole god of a long-forgotten jungle race of Humans who died out from a supernatural plague. His inability to offer protection from whatever disease destroyed his own society still haunts Falx’bet. After this he willingly joined the other gods who would become the pantheon of The Seven as their final member, rather than risk eternal anonymity to the mortal races. It is because of him that Underhaveners associate their gods with hydras and especially serpents and feel a deep fondness for these creatures.
Because he presides over “pure” elements, certain professions in Underhaven traditionally venerate him. Examples would include, miners, glassblowers, and forge workers because of his dominion over stone, fire, and metal, respectively.
Devoted Monk’s Item: The monks of Falx’bet wield a traditional hunting spear, the design and associated rites of which date back to his original jungle tribe. In that role, this spear was given as a gift from his first priesthood to youths during their coming-of-age ritual. It is enchanted to have a head which drips a highly diluted form of Falx’bet’s own Godkiller venom, a caustic poison especially effective against creatures of supernatural origin.
Holy Symbol: A serpent coiled around a volcano.
Spheres of Dominion: Hunters, Nature, The Elements, Protection from Natural Disaster, Laborers, and creatures of all sorts (whether mundane, sacred, or supernatural)

March of Time
March of Time
Time marches to its own sound.
Tick tock, thump thump, click boom.
In a fraction of a second everything you know and love can be gone.
Life ends and life begins but time pays no mind.
It just keeps marching to its own beat.
Tick tock, thump thump, click boom.

Purity.
I have a mask, a guise, a camoflauged contour of my soul.
I put it on at sunrise and for most of my wakefullness, so it remains.
Only when I have the luxury of my own company do I reveal my true self and only to myself.
It awaits a trigger, a feeling, a certain serenity as nothing else brings me out except me.
It is a necissary sense of selfishness.
Humans are naturaly selfish creatures.
Deny me my right to myself and you rid yourself of my bliss.

Flash Fic: Self-Confidence
You see a lot of things when you work at a hipster coffee shop. Artists, college students, business men, moms. The artists are funny because you can pick them out based on how either self-conscious or pretentious they are (yeah, the sticker on your laptop is totally cool, man). And you can tell the difference between artists and college students because the latter just look young and wide-eyed; plus they're always huddled together in groups (because going somewhere alone is terrifying at 18!).
When the vampire came in, holding a rose, I waited for his order just like anyone else. He actually asked me for blood sausage. I said, "That's not on

Here it is, the first glimpse at the religion of my proud Underhaveners.
Nightpark's galllery is here, lots of great stuff in it:nightpark.deviantart.com/galle….
Her commission rates are quite reasonable too so I would highly recommend her for illustrations.

Very descriptive, well done. I love the idea of a snake deity who isn't malevolent.
